Anyone who’s visited Tangier Inland located in the Chesapeake Bay has probably had the pleasure of meeting Mr Parks. He owned and operated the only transient dockage on the island.

He was quite the character and truly represented the dying lifestyle of a Chesapeake Bay waterman.

He was a big part of the Island. I would listen in on his VHF conversations when he was giving docking instructions to transients, just so I could hear him talk with his Tangier accent. He had a calming demeanor. I'll miss that.
