Well following yet another rent hike in the Nazi run apartments we live in my girl and I are biting the bullet and moving aboard our trawler moored at Fulton on the Texas coast. It was my 'retirement dream' however as retirement recedes in the distance now is as good a time as any...and a good friend is now living in Ecuador so that's a vague plan that might be embarked upon next years....

Don't be afraid, I had a similar problem in the mid 80's when the ex decided to empty the bank and disappear and I moved on board 'temporarily'. I'm still on board !
Be methodical, plan well and the transition will go well, if you can continue working fine, until you have sufficient funds to sail off into the sunset.
Check the other posts on here for other similar people who've moved on board permanently and you'll find your not alone.
Good Luck.
