Symbol 45 Trawler

Thinking of moving up from my Monk 36 single to a Symbol 45 Pilot House single.

Any experience or thoughts on Symbol in 2004?

I've looked at a couple of this model. I personally like the layout, and the larger engines and semi-displacement hull which allows for faster speeds. My understanding is that the gelcoat can be a problem (common on some boats from that time). The ones I've seen have had crazing, cracking, and voids in their gelcoats.

I’d that s major expense to repair? I was told to inspect
Single turbo charged cat with two thrusters
Big boat for one engine but love the layout
