Yes. Scott Grabner. (386) 631-2528. Scott is out of the Daytona area and covers the East Coast From Georgia to Miami. He surveyed my boat when I bought it in*Brunswick Ga. and did a great job. Tell him I said 'Hi'

Thanks for the suggestion. By the way that is some boat. The boat I am considering has the 3208 NA is it. I understand the 3208 is an old engine, but pretty reliable and parts are still avialable for it. What is your experience. Thanks

I have to double that to say Scott Grabner carries his moisture meter and hammer everywhere he goes knows how to use them. He did a very good survey on my Manatee, and I probably have saved a lot on his recommendations. Good Master Surveyor.

The 3208 Cat is a good single life engine, although it does much better in the lower horsepower applications. The engine was never meant to stand the pressures of twin turbos and 400 plus HP. In marine applications, under 300 HP is a realistic workload for that design. Those blocks will stress crack everywhere, and many aren't fit to rebuild. Rebuilt 3208's also so-so in lifespan. Find yourself a good 210-250 HP that someone's taken care of, and you've got a good mill.

Thanks, I have noted Scott's number. The engines are 210 naturals, just not used much the last few years. Will have to see what they do in sea trial if we get that far.

Fighterpilot: *Assuming you get that far, run the engines in the sea trial and then send some of the oil samples for evaluation. *Scott can also do this for you. *Hopefully, they didn't just change the oil yesterday. *It should give you some insight. *Don't forget to do the genny as well.
