In September 2019, the Category 5 Hurricane Dorian plowed through the Bahamas and did lasting, catastrophic damage. More than a year later, Bahamians are still struggling. Today's Florida Times-Union carried an article about groups here in Florida who are continuing to help. Here's the link:

Hope Fleet uses its own boat to carry supplies and volunteers, as well as enlisting others who are bound for points in the Bahamas. I have wondered how things are with our Bahamian neighbors. It seems their needs are still great, but their troubles have been obscured by everything else that has happened in this dumpster-fire of a year.
