This is not yet in the news so all I have is a FB post from a very close friend and some history links. Dick Stephens, last surviving brother of Stephens Yachts family, has passed away at age 100. He and his entire family were instrumental in the development of boats in the west coast for recreational, commercial and military uses.

He will be missed.

Beautiful boats. 100 years is quite a run. 1920-2020 encompasses so many major world events, good and bad.

Thanks. I was just aboard an early 1960s wooden stephens in the 60 foot range a few weeks ago. It was in rough shape.

One of the most beautiful motoryacht on the water was the Stephen's 55. I just loved the flat lines.

Here's a fully restored one that was for sale a few years ago.

They were great boats Al.
And these side stairs are a great example of a classy boat from the past. Nordhavn need not apply. I miss the old classy boats. Now days boats have style but very little class.
