Good day,
I'm pretty close to closing a deal on a Mainship Pilot 34. It has a custom steel cradle included. Those are not all that popular in MD and I'm curious what it is worth, in case I can sell it back to the marina or others? Thoughts?

My opinion. It has zero value. Really can't see someone actually building one of these unless it is being used for boat transport.

One American insurance company required a steel cradle if we wanted to store Bay Pelican in Grenada or St. Lucia during the hurricane season. At Prickley Bay there were, I estimate, 60 boats in steel cradles. I was charged $1,750 per season for the use of a cradle in addition to all other storage charges.

Upon arrival in Oakland, the shipping agent offered to take the Coot's shipping cradle for no cost to me after asking him about disposing it.
