Stabilizer upgrades ?

I was reading a thread on unstabilized versus stabilized board.
Also watched a video of someone that switched from older 2 axis to 3 axis newer stabilizers. Still others about zero speed.

At what point does it make sense to upgrade from older 2 axis to newer technologies? Ever?

Don't know if it was our video you watched regarding the upgrade, but the simple answer for us is that we wanted to improve OLOH's stabilization. After looking at several options that is the path we took along with upsizing our fins. Would just updating the tech alone have been sufficient in our case? We don't think so relative to what we were looking for. It would have made an improvement, to be sure, but we were looking for as big an improvement as possible in the context of what we were willing to take on. But it's a good starting point for many and very low impact in many cases, cost aside.
