We have a Norcold on our flybridge. Works great. It's AC, but they have an adapter (inverter). It's a refrigerator and a freezer. Seems to draw about .75amps. They make a 30, 45, and a 60. Norcold NRF. Good luck.

I like the idea of a Secop/Danfoss compressor. The Engle is tempting but, at double the price is the value there? I just need extra space for cold drinks...

You can buy a lot of ice for $480.
I would love more refrigerator and freezer space on my boat, but the issue is power draw. It's probably not a big deal if you run all day and plug into shore power the rest of the time, but that 4.5 amp draw adds up pretty quickly if you anchor at 2:00 PM and don't start up again until 8:00 AM the next morning.

We have an Engelvthat is at least twelve years old, and a Whynter.
Whynter has digital thermostat and two separate compartments and controls.
Both around $700.
I thought hard about getting biggest Whynter and eliminating all refrigeration on the boat.
But I rebuilt them with vetrifrigo and now have same performance from all of it.

Iceco JP 42 3in1. Can't say enough good things about it. Keep it in cockpit on freezer mode. Keeps food well frozen.
