Ive a a West marine aluminum bottom rib that i store on davits
When hung i keep it at an angle, stern down.
Its very difficult to reach the drain plug which just pushes in from the outside. I am concerned about leaving the plug in during raining days or should i get a following sea that wants to dump in the dinghy adding a lot of weight to the davit system.
Is there a self bailing plug that can be left in permanently to hopefully take the human error out of the procedure?
Thanks
