Seapiper 35?

The Seapiper 35 is advertised on the TF main page so I started looking into the boat. It seems pretty neat and well priced. They quoted a price of $170k for a well equipped boat. Engine options are either a 85hp Beta or a Yanmar 110 inboard.

Looks cool too. Unique profile. My only gripe is the 8'6 beam. Wayyyy tooo narrow.....Lol

I have been watching this project for a while. In many ways I like the concept. Unfortunately, the design fails for any possible use in the PNW. It is wet much of the year and that open cockpit between the saloon and fore-cabin would be a wet and cold trip any time you need to use the head during the day or want to check depth, wind, weather, etc... at night while at anchor. In our part of the country, every owner would be looking to install canvas over that space after the first year.

For warm weather, or areas where boating is a seasonal affair, it might work out well, but then I can see folks looking for shade.

Where would someone store a dinghy?

Even so, it would be a nice boat for two people who wanted the freedom to have the boat trucked to a new cruising location. I applaud them on the idea and wish them success.
