Sausilito Abandoned Boat/law suit

A couple of months ago a post went up about a trawler whose owner left it on a buoy in Richardson Bay, only to have it taken by authorities and destroyed. The owner filed suit. Does anyone know how this suit turned out?

Actually I think it broke loose from the buoy and washed up on a wharf in Richmond some distance away. It isn't like the city took a safely moored boat off its mooring.

If it is a typical lawsuit, you may not know the outcome for several years. If settled, it would likely be under non-disclosure.
