Does this have anything to do with a windlass company located in Sandy?

I can answer for JD. Plath windlass is located in Sandy, OR. TheY do great work but they are very poor communicators. They are notoriously over optimistic on their delivery times. However, they do great work and are worth the wait. I assured him they will come through, just not on time.

I got a Gypsy next day once. He drove it all the way to the Portland airport so I would get it while waiting near Friday Harbor. YMMV, but Plath does try their best.
