rudder damage

Wondering if anyone can give me direction on obtaining a new/replacement rudder for a 1983 Defever 41' trawler. Unfortunately ran aground on a sand bar and somehow managed to actually tear the rudder off. I was actually able to many hours later recover the rudder and found that it was fiberglass and after speaking to people found this might be a difficult replacement. If anyone has had a similar bad experience like this let me know your thoughts.

Probably be best to source a comparable rudder locally- basically match the shaft diameter and rudder size to what is available.
