Yesterday we got a typical Maryland summer late afternoon thunderstorm.

This sailboat was moored maybe 100 - 150 yards up the creek from our house. Then the storm blew through and she dragged her mooring all the way down to our backyard. Seems to have finally gotten hung up on some of the crap in the water in that area. Amazing that the running gear wasn't damaged and the owner got the engine started and got out of there.

An advantage to a monohull sailboat- you've got 2-5' of keel under your running gear.

A cat with saildrives is a different story.
