Our last boat had a lot of exterior teak. I got tired of rixing it continually so we painted it with Brightside poly paint. 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of Brightside. Looked better and more modern. Also no maintenance. When I sold the boat some of the paint was 5 years old and looked like new. But we are in Michigan so the boat is inside for half the year. Still when it needs a refresher coat that is much easier than varnish.
