Recommendation for MarinePro - Excellent service in Mid-Atlantic area

I recently purchased a trawler in Norfolk, Va - and I posted a request for information on the local yards on this forum.

I was fortunate enough to get some helpful replies, particularly one PM from Don - "Moonstruck", who passed on the e-mail address for a friend of his in the area with local knowledge.

Through that contact, I found Ken Moore of MarinePro - a company based just south of Norfolk in Barco NC.

I am so thankful for that tip as Ken has been absolutely fantastic to work with, and his level of service and expertise is far above anything I have experienced in the boating world. Ken delivers genuine customer service, and his ability to do almost anything on-site allowed me to avoid going to a yard with all the associated additional costs.

After purchasing the boat, I had a list of survey items that needed attention and I was going to be out of town (and many were beyond my current abilities and tools).

Ken assisted with the finalizing of the survey, and then jumped right into the list and got it done in time, and on budget. This included using his contacts in other fields to get some specialised work done, and his personal attention to every detail of the work.

Ken then accompanied us on a trip between slips to verifiy everything was working correctly, and also went through the spares and fluids necessary for me to keep up with the routine maintenance.

I believe that personal recommendations can be immensly helpful to those looking for good work at a fair price and good service, and it is that which prompted me to "pay it forward" and make this post so that others in need of mechanical and general boat work can benefit from my positive experience.

Ken is mobile and is able to travel reasonable distances to a job, he mentioned he has worked as far south as Myrtle Beach SC, and as far north as Washington DC.

I have no hesitation in recommending Ken from MarinePro, and I am most grateful to him for his helpfulness and efficient completion of the job list.
