True, but after 3 or 4 times a night I tell her "Leave me alone, I've got to get some sleep."

OK, comfortable as backrests , cool as air circulates , and a bit of a hand grab for wakes or waves.

In use easy to keep dry , easy to deepen for offshore , usually good storage behind for bedding and visitors kit.

I tried finding an island king bed in a 30 foot boat, but had no luck.

I settled for a v berth plus a midship located "pullman" double
.
I'd prefer the island king, but it wasn't worth paying triple the cost of the boat.

At my age comfort is a bunk that can be easily accessed.

Climbing down to the foot of the bed for a head call , never enters the mix.
