If anyone has any recent (say 2015 or newer) photos of Ocean Falls that they are willing to post and share I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

We were there this past June. I'll see what I can dig up.

Ocean Falls Aug 2016

Here are a few pics, from the approach to the departure including town pics. Don't know how many I can load at a time. Enjoy.

Ocean Falls Log Entries Aug 2016

Found the following from WESTERLY's log:

August 13, 2016

0705 depart Rescue Bay
1445 arrive Ocean Falls Harbor W18+ at the berth

ME hours (end-of-day): 3665.6
Crew: Jay
Remarks: Cloudy/foggy/misty am, cloudy pm with sun breaks – nice at Ocean Falls. Many recreational fishing vessels around Idol Pt. Pacific Whiteside dolphins on the bow in Seaforth Ch, quite a show. 6-8 humpbacks around the Johnson Channel entrance to Fisher Channel. Met Les and Toni, temporary harbormasters at Ocean Falls. Small biting black flies at Ocean Falls. DM53.3TM3249.5

1115 depart Ocean Falls Harbor
1715 anchor Kwakume Inlet – N side

ME hours (end-of-day): 3671.7
Crew: Jay
Remarks: Part cloudy and sunny am day, very pleasant evening, around 74F. Had a pancake breakfast put on by Les & Toni. Walked up to the dam/lake for a few pics. Visited Nearly Normal Norman at his “museum”. Met Herb Carpenter the HarborMaster and owner of the ship ways – Turns out that Herb was raised at Kodiak, and could remember one of our old Edmonds neighbors who managed a cannery at Kodiak (Larsen Bay) starting back in 1949 (Herb was 15 years old then). Herb was the oldest of 8 brothers, but the only one who went fishing, and the only one still alive – He credits a fish diet for his longevity. Fog patches moved in around 1930, the call of the loon was very loud in Kwakume Inlet. DM41.6TM3291.1

Thank you one and all, excellent response. A young Marine Biology student has an opportunity to work the summer at Ocean Falls and asked if I had or could get some pictures. She will be delighted.
