Do they allow that kind of music in Maine? If so I may have to revise my opinion of the state.

No, that sort of music is banned in most of the State, except for the southern part which is considered by most to be a northern bedroom community part of Massachusetts (Mainesachusetts) and a lost cause. Celtic and Acadian fiddle music is invading from across the Canadian Maritimes border and displacing the native Country (the "lost my wife, dog and truck type) music. We are hoping they will kill each other off. On the other hand, not too many here listen to Classical, particularly Faure.

Actually if you painted the boat the same colors that it is and just reverse the light and dark. I agree w Marin that the hull color is very nice. If it were on the cabin the cabin would look much smaller and of course the hull in bright white would get larger ...... visibly of course. Look at the picture of the boat and see how the hull almost hides itself with it's color.

Fat girls are smart ...... they wear black.

Do'nt forget a nice fat stripe horizontally through the middle of the cabin not unlike my own Willy. You can see even in my avatar that the stripe helps and that it would be even better to have the brown buff color on the upper half of the cabin and the white on the lower. Visually that would lower the CG of the boat.

Have you tried Photoshopping a picture to get a feel for the different color schemes?

Fauré. Don't forget the accent aigu. No relation to me, by the way. My family name doesn't have the accent aigu over the "e" and is pronounced completely differently.

We like classical music to a point although our tastes tend more toward the Italians.

After 7 years of high school and college French, and 4 years in the Navy as a French and Portuguese specialist, I would never forget the accent aigu. I just haven't figured how to add it from my keyboard. Once in awhile I do have a need for it. What's the trick? Probably a simple procedure that will lead me to a self inflicted dope slap. It used to be on my law office Word and WordPerfect programs, which programs I no longer have.

Ah, Google can be your friend. Character map in System Tools. éééé

On a Mac getting an accent is a matter of pressing the option key and the letter for the particular accent, "e" in the case of the aigu, and then hitting the letter that's going to get the accent.

Early on I did not invest in Apple and bought PCs rather than a Mac (and still use one out of habit), both decisions I now regret.

Don't feel bad. When personal computers began coming onto the market Boeing was pretty ambivelant about what we used. The engineering computers were all Crays and whatnot but for desk use we could use PCs or Macs, our choice.

But as the computing and networks and an intranet became a bigger and bigger part of life at Boeing it became obvious standardization was needed. If the decision was being made today I like to think that we would have chosen Apple, as did Southwest Airlines and a number of our other more forward-thinking customers. But back in the late 80s most of the heavy-hitting business and network software was being written for PCs so that's how we went.

While applications like Word, Excel, Photoshop, PowerPoint, etc. are kind of six of one half dozen of the other when it comes to actually using them on a Mac or PC, the company's single biggest regret now (according to our IT people) is being stuck with Microsoft's increasingly troubleseome, bloated, and unintuitive operating system.

As a result more and more parts of the company are moving back to Apple now. A big catalyst has been the iPad which is being adopted in more and more of the company's functions. And once you get started with iPads it makes so much more sense to change the office/personal computers over to Macs. So maybe I'll be here long enough to see the exit of Microsoft from the company, something about 100,000-plus people will rejoice to witness along with me.:)

Gentlemen, there is an off-topic forum for all this.

Thanks Many Boats i think you guys are spot on, I am going with a real light hull color and the lower 1/2 of the cabin a darker color in the same family then white top half of the cabin but paint the window trim to match the hull. thank goodness its only paint ! As my dad would say its not a tatoo you can cover it up with another coat !
