Took off and sold the bronze and replaced with these much larger anodized aluminum. Total cost $0.

I used Life Caulk. The seal was so tight I probably could have used chewing gum.
 
Awesome- looks good! You didn't want opening portholes though for ventilation?
 
The ports barely do a thing vs the larger forward facing overhead hatches. The watertight and bigger trumped the minor airflow for us.

True on the hook, but in marinas tied between boats , sometimes the small hole in the side is IT.
 
We're never in marinas, but on the oft chance we are we let the AC pump away
