Miami Show - Bigger And Back At The Beach!

Just received this. Its much better at the Convention Center at the beach than way down in Virginia Key.

-------------------------------------------

We have exciting news! We’re teaming up with the Miami Yacht Show and Superyacht Miami to create one, new event and bring you the ultimate boat show experience in Miami.

This new joint production of South Florida’s preeminent winter boat shows will create one of the world’s largest boat shows and boating lifestyle events in Miami and Miami Beach. This merger will provide you a more seamless and integrated experience and we can’t wait for you to check it out!
What can you expect in 2022 from this new three-in-one event?

New Venues

We’re still in Miami—just in new locations—including a return to Miami Beach:
• On-land at the newly reimagined Miami Beach Convention Center
• In-water at Downtown Miami’s Sea Isle Marina
• In-water at Downtown Miami’s One Herald Plaza
• In-water at Island Gardens Deep Harbour on Watson Island

New Dates

We’ll still see you over Presidents Day Weekend 2022 — just slight updates on which days:
• Save the Dates for 2022: Wednesday, February 16–Sunday, February 20, 2022

Same Name

We’re combining these three marquee events into one under the Miami International Boat Show name.

Planning is under way for our 2022 debut so stay tuned for further details on new entertainment offerings, interactive features, and more. Click here for today’s announcement.

See you February 16–20, 2022!

I’m actually a little disappointed. It was easier for me to get to Virginia Key than Miami Beach. I also thought having the show at the Marine Stadium might have encouraged the county to restore the stadium.

I guess the Convention Center is cheaper to rent than putting up all those tents. Unfortunately there is no water access to the Convention Center.

It was also nice having the in water displays at the same location as the land side displays.

Another thing I don’t like about this is for the first time in about seventy years, the show won’t happen on my birthday! Where will I have my party?

So which is better? Miami or Ft. Lauderdale?

I’ve gone to both and worked both. I find more interesting things at the Miami show.

We prefer the Miami show, less mega yachts and more of what we like - boats and "stuff." Plus the nearby (and on the free shuttle route) Collins Ave brokerage show was always a favorite.

Parks, for those coming into town the Beach is always the destination!!

Though we stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Coral Gables for the show two years ago and it was also good - especially the choice of restaurants along the Miracle Mile.

Menzies, Coral Gables is a great area for restaurants. You should try some Cuban food next time you’re in town.
