May need a surveyor - South shore long island NY

Just wondering if anyone can suggest a good trawler surveyor in the area of middle -south shore long island NY. Also an engine surveyor familiar with perkins diesel.

I just did a quick google search and there appear to be a few in LI. I might research them and look at their credentials and certifications. Also see if they are part of a national association or other group of professionals and time in business.

Good thoughts. But I was hoping to use the power of the forum and peoples' prior actual experience to see if someone rose above the noise of google.
