Hoping someone here can help point me in the right direction.

I'm looking at putting a 2003 Mainship 390 into Commercial Survey here in New Zealand. In order to do so I first need to ascertain if this craft has an NMMA yacht certification, Or even better is CE approved.

Obtaining the the correct citification will make the job so much easer (and far less expensive!)

I'd be very grateful of any help on this one - I'm drawing a blank - Thanks!
Carl

Welcome aboard. I am assuming that Mainship put a certification plate on the boat. It should be somewhere near the helm. Have you seen the boat in person to look for the plate?

Thank you kind sir. I've not yet sighted her as she's at the other end of the country. So you believe that that craft does hold an NMMA certification? Would you know if it holds a CE certification?
Cheers

My 07 Mainship Pilot 34 has an NMMA certification plate below the helm, visible in the attached picture. Not sure about CE certification, nor the 390 model, but it would tend to suggest that is at least NMMA certified. I also checked in the 2000 year 390 manual, posted on Bacchus' website at

https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/0B-aLo_dtjdn3Z2hrQU9wQzNiakE

The manual mentions being NMMA certified and on page 4.12 is a picture of the same certification plate as on my Pilot. Unfortunately, there are not certification numbers listed on the plate.

Hope this helps you track this down.

Brett

I don’t know for sure about CE, but I would be surprised if it is. But I have been surprised before.

Domestic boats wouldn't be designated CE. Quote from NMMA>

" CE Certification is required for all recreational boats entering or being sold in the European Union. ... NMMA works closely with the International Marine Certification Institute (IMCI), a notified body in Europe that issues conformity certificates, to assist U.S. boat builders in the certification process"
