We rode the ferry over to Whidbey Island on Saturday to attend a symphony concert and visit friends. The beach beside the ferry landing at Clinton has rows of large logs above the high tide line where they have been washed up by past storms. The tide was so high some of the logs were starting to float off the beach.
On Sunday we drove up to Bellingham to make sure our boat, which was at the shipyard's dock prior to being hauled out again this week, was weathering the high winds okay. When we crossed the Stillaguamish and Skagit rivers, both were very high and while there was not a lot of debris floating down there was some including a few good size trees.
