Like father, like son

I was introduced to boating by my father.* He purchased a 28.5-foot sloop Colulmbia Defender in the first half of the 1960s.* I was his*"first mate" during the six-or-so years we raced in San Francisco Bay.

The wording on my Dad's 93'rd-birthday shirt is a quote of his when shown his fathers' day cake three years ago.
