Gave that strip to my step- son and his wife this morning as they are buying their 1st (?) boat this week.

Thanks. I saw that cartoon a long while ago and have been trying to find it again.

That is so far from reality.. he needs to have two buckets!

HOLLYWOOD

Hollywood is right, two buckets & a semi van full of parts & tools.

The semi van - in fact ANYTHING to do with boating - can be replaced by additional buckets. A bucket list of sorts.

Haha I love it!!

It's not a question of money, it is a question of how much you use your boat. For me, the more I use the boat the cheaper it is. A "slip-hugger it ain't.

Throwing buckets of money at your boat is a given. The more you use it, the better your ROI (return on investment) - or perhaps I should say, the less negative your ROI is likely to be!

William F. Buckley once wrote about ocean yacht racing, something to the effect that it is, more than anything else, like standing fully-clothed in an ice-cold shower in the middle of winter, tearing up $100.00 bills just as fast as you possibly can.

Been there. Probably going back.
