Not sure. Temporary blindness was reported as a symptom experienced by Mr Abramovich, so maybe.

But my favorite was this classic 62 Nordhavn we saw in Palm Gardens thanks to James Knight. We are still looking after not purchasing the 64 Grand Alaskan.

I always dream for the bigger newer better.....but I think there is a limit. I see these mega yachts that are being impounded and I think that even if money were no object....that is just NOT my idea of boating. When you have 15 staterooms, a helipad, a few 30 foot tenders and a staff of a dozen it is not boating anymore....it's just comfortable mobile living quarters. You fly in to Miami and spend a few days in your 1st class accomodations that just happens to obey Bernouli's principle.....then you say "meet me in Nassau in a week"....and you fly into Nassau and enjoy the luxury..... I think this misses the essence of boating. Once in a while you need to push the limits of your foul weather gear......taste the salt spray over the bow and realize that you are at the mercy of Mother Nature. If I had Bill Gates type money I don't think I'd go much bigger than 60 feet or so.....at some point it just doesn't seem like boating anymore.

I completely agree. At a certain point it's no longer boating, it's project management. Then after that, when you're paying crew & your captain's doing the project management it's being a CEO of an extremely unprofitable company. I don't want to do either of those things in my spare time or my eventual retirement.

For me it's even smaller than that. If I had the money I wouldn't build bigger, I'd build two.
One for here in NZ, one for Prince Rupert or Petersburg.

Pretty common fishboats on the east coast of Canada. Not pretty, but apparently seaworthy.

Check out those long curved stainless pipes on this boat, I was wondering what these where until I took a closer look. I wonder if that takes much of the noise and soot away.

I guess that's one way to keep the soot off your boat. Might be a little tough to keep clean and polished.

Fuel savers as their exhaust thrust [at 45 degree angle] helps push the boat forward while assisting to set proper fore to aft trim!
Actually... I don't think they look bad at all. Kinda stylish... until you need to go under a low bridge!
