Greetings and thank you in advance for your informative responses.
Re; Ford Lehman SP135, 3400 hrs.
I have noted a gradual increase in blue exhaust smoke especially on start followed by a marked decrease once operating temp is reached. Whereas this all sounds normal it is different from what I remember a couple of years ago. I think cleaning the injectors/ fuel system is a reasonable first step. I prefer at this point not to remove and rebuild or replace ithe injectors until I have attempted a cleaning. Which is the preferred injector/ fuel system cleaner and how is it best used? Is there a good reason not to remove fuel from a Racor and fill it with the cleaner such as Seafoam recommends? Could an injector cleaner damage my engine? I'm open to any suggestions.
Thanks,
-David
