Please keep in mind that the issues in the thread you reference really appear to be from a specific dealer. Ranger Tugs was not contacted and once they became aware have been very responsive and are flying in to the boat. The builder seems to have a good reputation based on reading what others have written. At least one East Coast dealer not so it appears.

Perhaps post some additional links from satisfied owners for a more balanced view.
That post just happened to come out the exact same time the OP mentioned those boats as an option.
