Hi everyone,
I am brand new to this forum, so apologies if this is posted in the wrong section. I am trying to identify the make or any other info about a trawler that used to be in my family. I know very little about boats but I am trying to learn! Here's what I know about this one, as well as a few pictures:
40' length
13' beam

It lived in North Carolina from about the early 80's until it was sold. Was sold to someone in Beaufort, North Carolina in mid-late 2000's.

Lol alloy manufacturing incorporated built out of Montreal Canada. As far as I can tell one of 3. I’ve got one of them. 42 loa that should have had a Cummins v8 or Perkins inline 6 in her. 1/4 inch thick aluminum hull. 1200 gallons of fuel. Honestly that’s the only other one I have ever seen pictures of.

That's basically it! I think you hit the nail on the head, looking at yours it's extremely similar. I wasn't sure what make it was, or even if it was steel/alu. Crazy to think there were so few made! It would be cool to find if it's still around, but I assume that would be a needle in a haystack. Thanks for your help!

I’ve been searching pretty hard for sisterships and haven’t found another, the pics of yours are the only other pics I’ve seen of one other than a brochure I have. Of the 3rd boat. The three I know of were all built a little different, mine was the only twin, the other two were singles, all the windows were a little different, the interior layout was a little different as well but they were all built in the same place with the same hull. Do you have any more pics of yours? Mine was built in 72. I know why they didn’t make or sell many, they are very small interior wise compared to other boats in the same class and for the era cost about triple of what something like a Grand Banks 42 cost during the same time.

This and what the previous owner told me is about all I’ve been able to find out

Very cool! Especially to find a sister ship like yours so quickly, this is literally the first time I've asked anyone about it. I've been going through old family albums, I definitely have more pictures I can scan. It was converted in the 80s to a liveaboard, so the interior is completely custom. My wife's grandparents lived on it from then until they became a bit too old to handle her, and retired in late 00's. They used to live on a smaller wood sailboat before that, but I have barely any pictures of that one. Let me pull some more albums out of the attic and see what I can find and I'll report back. I have a crazy dream of finding it and buying it back, HA like that could ever happen :)

Definitely, after the searching I’ve done I’m surprised that I’ve seen pics of another one, and I would absolutely love to see some more pics of it. . You did luck out, this is the only forum that I’m on and sometimes I go weeks without hopping on so there is a reasonable chance I wouldn’t have noticed it. Don’t discount crazy dreams, I had a dream a couple weeks ago about buying another boat and today I woke up the owner of my 3rd boat lol. Start saving and when she comes up for sale you will be ready. They were very overbuilt boats so they can survive pretty well. Mine was pretty neglected and I’ve still got something to work with. Mine also was one of like 3 boats in its marina to survive a hurricane that ripped through Rockpkort tx. Broke some railing and opened up the fiberglass boat next to her like a can opener. All she had wrong was some scratched paint, broken railing and mast, no dents whatsoever.
