Finishing a rebuild on Perkins 6.354.4 and I’m curious if I can reuse the turbo mounting gasket or if I need to get a new one? It’s seems difficult to locate, but is there another option if I need one tomorrow? I can’t find one on line anywhere. Thanks

If the gasket is intact and metal I would at least consider reusing it.
If not you can make one out of soft copper sheet, 18 gauge or 40 mil (.040).

Also try looking for one searching Holset gaskets, not Perkins.
Holset turbos are widely used on many other engines.

I've reused them, mostly with success...but not always. Look at it. If it looks good, it probably is. If you see it looking burned from hit gas leaking or brittle from age or mechanically damaged, replace it.

Any turbo shop can sell you one. They aren't specific to Perkins or even that turbo-- it is a very common mount.

You may have another gasket between the adapter and the block. That is Perkins specific, or st least not super broadly used. But, they can be had mail order for a few dollars. If you pull it, which you likely don't need to do, the same inspection applies.

Thanks. Called Tradewinds in Miami and they ordered one for me. I’ll be picking it up in the morning.
