History on this?

Saw this building the other day while heading south of Savanna. Any one know the history of it, or is it some condo that just looked interesting in the fog and rain?

"The story of the Wilmington Island Club begins with the grand hotel during the early 1920’s when Henry C. Walthour, one of Savannah’s wealthiest cotton brokers, acquired several hundred acres of land on nearby Wilmington Island. Walthour’s goal was to develop a high quality, prestigious community on the acreage, with the General Oglethorpe Hotel as the prime amenity."

Changed hands a number of times and was a part of the Wilmington Island Club for some time.

For many years it was known as the Savannah Inn and Country Club.

Will, don't forget to give a tip of the hat to Moon River. It was the inspiration for Johnny Mercer's song.

Anchored for the night in Moon River one time back in the sailboat-cruising days. Played that song, sipped on a sundowner, and thought about how good life can be at times. :-)
