Hello....my BIG assumption...

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.

Lin and Larry had no engine either. Met them and chatted her up. A ball of energy and a firm believer in “if it’s hard to do-you’re doing it wrong”. A little thing but a amazingly smart and motivated person.
Got friendly with a gentleman on a Bristol Channel Cutter 28’. He had a composting head, lead line, knot stick, windex, telltales, no frig. and good low light binoculars. He was by himself. He used a bubble sextant ( I could never figure those out. ) was in his 70s I would guess last time I saw him. He was all excited as he added a IPad with navionics. Year after year he’d pop up in the same anchorages we were in. Was always neatly dressed and freshly shaved. His boat was immaculate inside and out. Used a trim tab on his rudder as his only AP. Yes as Lin and Larry said “ go small -go soon” is definitely possible even now. Shoe string doesn’t mean uncomfortable nor unsafe. The old saw “different folks-different boats” is definitely true.
