Hanger thingies?

Our boat (1984 MS34), came with 3 of these plastic things inside, and 2 additional out in the cockpit. PO has no idea what they're used for....any help?

There used to hang dish towels and such. I suspect you could put light jackets in them as well.

We had those in our last house - used to store brooms, mops etc. Anything with a long handle.

I appreciate the insights given! It does appear that the winning entry is "hanger of towels". Now that I know what they are....I can remove them without fear.
