The War in the Ukraine is reportedly leading to GPS signal jamming in some "non involved" countries. Air traffic has been affected. Maybe time to keep some charts handy, especially for those cruising in AK where signals are close to Russia's airspace.

Jamming or spoofing a GPS receiver generally only affects small geographic areas and is limited to line of sight. The range can be increased by an aircraft based jammer and the jamming signal directed in specific directions. Power also can increase range but is not nearly as effective as height. I don’t think Alaska will see any problems unless in the Bering Sea. It won’t hurt to practice with Coastal Explorer in dead reckoning mode using the radar and hand compass.
