I see these a lot. It's the 'Free Boat' syndrome and it applies from 16 ft bow riders all the way up to old, past retirement yachts.
Even if the boat is free, it frequently (not always) takes more money to get the boat right than the boat is ultimately worth.
In this case there are at least 2 other boats for sale of the same make/model/year
This boat: $185,000
Melbourne, Fla: $294,000
Oxnard, CA: $329,000
We can take a conservative estimate and say the market is at $310,000 (I suspect $285,000 is probably more accurate).
Unless you can buy the boat for $185,000 and do everything you need to get it 'right' for under $100K, you'll be upside. My guess is this boat needs more than $100K.
Free/Cheap boats are neither Free nor Cheap.
