Nice, trailerable trawlers are a very nice way to go.

One little note about the picture of the boat on the trailer. If you are going to trailer it with the engine in the "UP" position you should get a "transom saver" It is just an adjustable stick to distribute the load of the lower unit on the outboard to the bottom of the transom. If the engine is up and you hit a bump or bumpy highway it can seriously weaken your transom.

If your transom can't handle the forces produced by the engine by a few bumps in the road, it'll never be able to handle the forces produced by the engine on the transom in normal operation.

The only reason for a "transom" saver is to save the tilt cylinder of the engine mount. The trim cylinders take the whole engine force and are not bothered by the forces generated by the engine when the trailer hits a bump (they are usually not even engaged when the engine is tilted up).

One point to make is that a "transom" saver that connects the lower unit to the trailer via a physical link, is that the forces from bumps in the road are transferred directly from the trailer to the lower unit without any shock mitigation available through the boat structure and the boat mounting on the trailer. Since the boat and the trailer are not a rigid system, there can be some difference in the force "felt" by the boat and that "felt" by the trailer (and engine). Usually, the boat will "feel" less force.

David, I'm kinda in the "shopping" stage for something like the Pompano 23 or a Seaway 24 - can you send me some info on the sale also?
