Not all marine gasoline is alcohol free. Depends on your location.
That’s not bad really. The gas is probably not the same because “Marine Gas” is free from alcohol so you have to compare it with the blue pump “RecGas” price. You also have to consider the difference in the business model. A gas station has a lot more volume, plus their major profit comes from the store, not the gas. They can afford to discount the gas to attract people to their mini mart. Marina property is pretty expensive, and the fuel dock concession needs to make a profit as well.

Pretty sure a requirement nationally via USCG and the insurance industry. Alcohol/water separate corroded through a few metal fuel tanks and caused some fires and explosions, fuel docks were prohibited from selling fuel with alcohol.

There isn’t a requirement to sell non ethanol gas. A quick search brought up ValveTech statement to that effect. Could find more if necessary.

ValvTect Marine Fuel can be purchased from these Certified ValvTect Marina Locations:

The following search returns a list of Certified ValvTect Marine Fuel Locations. These locations have been certified to provide ValvTect Marine Gasoline and/or ValvTect Marine Premium Diesel with BioGuard in accordance with ValvTect's strict quality control guidelines. Marinas have the option to sell recreational grade (non-ethanol) or ethanol (E10) gasolines based upon geographic availability. Dispensers must identify if the gasoline contains ethanol by Federal requirement. As to the corrosion issue, that is a real problem with both gas and diesel, however the real issue around fuel tanks and ethanol gas was with fiberglass fuel tanks because ethanol would break down the fiberglass. The metal tanks can corrode with water in either gas or diesel.
