After looking for a few years now I finally found the one that fits my criteria.
This will be a new way of life for us. I hope we I'm not making a big mistake but life will tell.
This project is part of my retirement plan.
We live far north where there is no REAL boat life and are a bit tired of too long winters.
So! Sold the house, bought a property 1200 ft from Ottawa river and now buying the boat I thing we need.
It's an old farth like me but look to be in great shape.
It's a 1981 Mainship 40 pilothouse with twin Perkins which has a huge cabin with lots of windows which was one of my tender half priority. She didn't want to live in a BASEMENT style boat with small and high port windows.
I know this is not a REAL trawler but most of our boating will be in rivers and canal. The great loop is part of our plan.
I'm a mechanic and I've owned a few large RV so I know what it is to maintain those motorized house and think a boat is very similar. ALWAYS something to fix.
I will probably need some advice and help from the boating comunity.
