The one on the right was headed West then reversed course, maybe he was holding his iPad upside down?

Yup, can't trust them pro's.

We followed what looked like a packer out of Prince Rupert, until he went to the right hand side of a green marker bouy in what must have been a misguided attempt at a short cut. Got a lovely view of him running it up on submerged rocks while we stayed in the marked channel. Real head-scratcher...
