woof

I'll throw down...here's Koko Bean, my french brittany spaniel. She's a great pointer and tolerates the boat, but I think she gets uneasy when the water gets lumpy. Either way, she just likes to be around her pack and check out new beaches. We have to keep an eye out for eagles, but she's compact enough to fit in the kayak.

As much as she likes water and birds, we have been afraid to put her on the boat for fear of not being able to keep her on deck.

And its a long way down from the deck of a LL/48. Where do you keep your boat? I love the LL 48 almost bought one at Annapolis show 1984. I have a boats at Shilshole and portage bay. If you need a CGAUX safety check let me know I would love to go through your boat for your safety and my sweet recollections.

Thanks eyschulman, nice offer and would love to show you the boat. I am at Elliott Bay. PM headed your way.

We were going through the big lock at Ballard when sockeye were running. A lab was having to much fun trying to catch the sockeye as they were jumping. The poor owner was struggling to keep/get the dog back on the boat. It was quite a spectacle with the Sunday afternoon crowd. :)

Maxx and I just relaxing after a day on the water.

Condolences to all who have lost these great pets that give us so much love.

Lucy our German Shepard/ Blue Heeler mix pictured compling with Tennessee lock tenders life jacket requirement but not enjoying it very much. Wondering if when we get to the top of the lock wall if there is any chance of a walk------------NOT.

Dog food coma. Going down Atlantic ICW.

No more devoted friend than a dog. All they want is to be with you, in a mansion or living behind a dumpster, makes no difference to them. Oh, and bacon, she wants bacon too. And my socks. And my wife's pot roast. And car rides...

Merlin is a great dog Jeff! If we ever wean ourselves from rehabilitating rescue dogs we will either get one or a standard Poodle. Tough choice.

We didn't have a dog for the first 40 years of marriage because my wife is highly allergic. Five years ago we heard about this mutt breed that was hypoallergenic, GoldenDoodle, and thought we'd give it a try...been in heaven ever since.

He told me he wanted to be a Therapy Dog, so we visit hospitals, nursing homes, (I call this reconnaissance now that I'm 70) churches and schools. I wish I'd known about these dogs when I was in college - he's a real chick-magnet.

Safe for YOU maybe - not sure how I would fare in an encounter with him! ?

No sweat...I would just let my son's dog lead my beach walk...

My son's wife is well over 5'10".... the dog averages about 175lbs.

No worries...unless you move towards us suspiciously then he'll give you a WOOF-WOOF-WOOF in the chest that'll make your lungs vibrate

He's not that big...only 130 pounds.
