For our new custom aluminum expedition passagemaker, Wayne designed our flush aluminum hatches. We've got the frames, lids, handles machined and installed and the sealing gasket in place. Now all we need is the glass.

After suffering with leaky hatches on all our previous boats, we tried to come up with a better solution. We hope these will do the trick, especially since there are 10 of them, but only time will tell.

For a full explanation of the design and manufacturing process, see this week's blog post here at Mobius World.

And there is an additional part of the same blog post on our custom aluminum diesel jet tender.

For folks that cant roll their own , goiot has a nice hatch for cruisers.

From inside by lifting the front or rear handle the hatch will open in either direction.

Really nice on the hook as the volume of breeze can be controlled.

Wow! I didn't realize the Goiot catalogue was so extensive! They have lots of lovely gear. Thanks for the link.
