I had the same idea. I have a cheap Accurite for our chicken coop and if it lasts in that dusty and cold environment (and it does - current one is 4 years and counting) then it must be ok. If the moisture is what kills them, put it in a sealed bag.

Seems like our Fletch is a little rough on the sensors. I hesitate to ask why......
