Cockpit Bimini for Flybridge Cruiser

I have a 1986 Cape Dory Trawler 28 (I know, it's not technically a trawler, but that's what it's called) with a fly bridge. I want to add a bimini for the cockpit, but the company I contacted doesn't know what to do about the ladder that leads to the flybridge. I'm hoping somebody has some photos I can send them of comparable cruisers that have addressed that issue.

Hire someone else. Easy fix you add a u zipper around the ladder. This is canvas work 101 . Run
