Hardest part is going to be keeping the boats 6 ft apart.

Lights look great, must have been quite a bit of work.

Photos really show the effort!! Great reflection shots!

Great pics! Where was the parade?

The Mystic Lighted Boat Parade was a Covid cancellation victim this year.

There are two parades here locally, one on sat night in Marathon Fl and sun night here in Key Colony Beach. It took a weekend to decorate, me and my wife motivated mostly by grand kids and coffee.

Great post! Love the Christmas parades and been following and participating for years.

However, over the past several years, I've decided to be a spectator and enjoy it more. Too much work and no one wants to help clean up the boat after the parade... but still fun. Another issue for not participating was most of the other captains were drunker than I was.:) Made it a bit too interesting, and there was an occasional scrape.

Went out Sat. night to view the Treasure Island, FL boat parade. Anchored off the ICW in fairly shallow water with a good view. Was pitch dark with no moon and the colorful boats looked great.

For the hour return to home port, we waited a bit for most of the following boats to clear out, which worked well.

Have two more coming up this next weekend.

One of the local marinas offers free slips for two nights to participants. They have a public dock walk for the public to see the boats up close the night before the parade. It’s nice to hang out and absorb the Christmas spirit. They have a nice outside space with a large propane fire pit. Good to see friends and catch up.

Our club has sponsored the Christmas lighted boat parade for over 40 years. This year the parade was officially canceled due to COVID. Eight boats from the club still put on a parade and it was nice to see. And it kept the 40+ year long string going.

Well deserved, your boat Christmas lighting was great!

We had a great parade last night on Lake Union in Seattle, Washington. The skies were clear and the winds were calm. One of the "turn boats" counted 76 boats which was a huge turn out. This parade wasn't advertised per say but word got around and boats showed up. My guess is since COVID is putting the damper on indoor gatherings(parties, dinners, musicals, etc.) there were more boaters available able to show up for a parade.

There were enough boats that it created a line of boats around the perimeter of the lake. We were the last boat in the parade line and the first picture is looking off our stern at the lead boat as they caught up to us for a second lap around the lake. There was a line of boats ahead of us but somewhere up the line someone was off the pace and the lead boat was able to catch us. Regardless of a few gaps in the line it was an impressive showing. The second picture is post parade of just hanging out on the lake and for those that know Seattle the Space Needle is off to the right.

We went out on Lake Washington with our yacht club and another club last night. Between the two clubs, we had about 40 boats. Great weather, water almost flat. Most boats had family members. We were on our own for the first time. I missed having a group of friends on board with snacks, drinks and some rum balls. Maybe this covid will be gone by next year. Fingers crossed

PS the pix with single boat, that is our Mainship, Beach Music.

We participated in the Gig Harbor YC parade, in Gig Harbor WA Saturday. About 50 boats. Little disorganized but still fun. Weather was cool but no wind so about as good as could be expected. The parade by Tacoma YC is this Sat night and we'll probably head out for that as well, since their club has to go right by our boathouse to get out to the bay. Tis the season!!!

Mike, the parade would have been better with Beachcomber! I'm glad the club proceeded with an "unofficial" parade, it means a lot to the community. Hears a shot of the old gal all dressed up.
