:whistling: Sure looks "official" to me. Fancy logo and says they are an "Official Documentation Portal" <LOL>

Is there a requirement that your boat be documented? If the boat is for sale, I'd just let the documentation expire. The new owner can renew it if he wants.

The way I read it, if you let your Document lapse more than thirty days, you cannot just “renew it.” It has to be reactivated along with an additional fee. In order for you to convey the Document to a new owner someone has to submit a form as PS quoted above. Since you would not have a valid Document at the time because you let it lapse, I’m speculating you will have to pay to activate your Document so you can then convey it.

Also this,

“MAY I RENEW THE CERTIFICATE AFTER THE OWNERSHIP CHANGES?
NO. Ownership changes require that the Certificate be exchanged and accompanied by an Application (CG-1258), fees and other submissions to support the changes.”
