hello all were the cat d333 motors a good motor and if so are parts stiil around thanks sam newbie still looking

They were very good engines but haven't been in production for a long time. A Caterpillar dealer should be able to tell you if service parts are still available.

There is a big difference between maint or PM items and long term rebuild parts.

As long as normal maint , and perhaps a few maint items like a head or exhaust gasket is orderable , old is no big deal.

It is usually no problem as these items are made by suppliers , not the eng mfg .
