Cape Dory 36 Flybridge Motor Yacht

Hi Everyone...Just joined the forum. I've learned much reading the many posts. I'm looking at purchasing a Cape Dory 36 flybridge motor yacht and was wondering even though it's not a trawler if anyone has any experience owning or being on one. General opinions on Dory 36 are very welcomed as well.

I only have limited knowledge, I was considering one this spring when I was shopping. They have great proportions and the fit and finish is great. I was able to see one in person, it had huge Chrysler gas engines which killed my interest. Another in florida with the four stroke Detroits (8.2) peaked my interest as well but I was concerned about parts availability.

Welcome aboard. Not Detroits in general, but that particular engine may be more difficult to get parts for.
