Bow pulpit layouts

I am looking for ideas and pictures of your shortened bow pulpit anchoring system.

Our 47 has a shortened bow pulpit and chain locker divider installed by a prior owner. We like the shortened pulpit and our new Vulcan 73# anchor. However, the layout does not function as well as it could. I am in the process of replacing and upgrading the anchor windlass. This provides an opportunity to make improvements to the pulpit and anchoring system.

We presently have 270’ of 5/16” G4 chain on our Vulcan primary anchor. The secondary rode is 80’ of chain and 460’ of 3/4” 3 strand rode presently carried in the separate compartment up front. My plan is to change the bow pulpit to a single bow roller. I also plan to use 260’ of the 3/4” rode and splice it onto my existing 270’ of G4 making 530’ of primary. I will also remove the chain locker separation to create a larger space. Hopefully this will alleviate some of the chain castles we sometimes experience. I believe this will provide a satisfactory system for most of the Central BC and Alaska anchorages. I intend to move the remaining secondary rode and chain connected to our secondary anchor to our swim step hull extension.

Here is a pic of our existing. Please Include a pic of what you have. Any likes or dislikes? Thanks!

Here's the setup I put together last winter. Pulpit isn't short on my setup, but it could easily be shorter with a roller right at the end and retain the same layout. The setup isn't necessarily perfect, but it works pretty well. Ideally, I would have mounted the windlass further back and had the samson post more centered, but available length and foredeck layout (with consideration given to moving around) limited me there. That's a 73 lb Vulcan in the pictures, so that'll give you a perspective on size.
